Membership
The Beautification Commission consists of 11 members of the public at large. Members serve 2-year terms.
Purpose
The purpose of the Beautification Commission is to make the City a clean and attractive city in which to live, to maintain a healthy environment, and to educate the City’s citizens as to the ongoing process of keeping their City beautiful. The commission considers the following aspects and makes recommendations to the Council accordingly:
- Award programs for businesses and residential areas that beautify their surroundings
- Landscaping of City rights-of-way and City property
- Promotion and education of recycling
