  3. What is allowed on-site? You may bring lawn chairs, blankets, sun screen, umbrellas, mosquito spray, hats, coolers, sunglasses, and your patriotic spirits!
  4. Can I bring strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs? Yes. We strive to make the park as ADA-Friendly as possible, but not all areas are easily accessible with a wheelchair or stroller.

However, a limited number of handicap parking spaces will be available on-site for those with a handicap placard at The Bedford Center YMCA (2801 Forest Ridge Dr.). Parking will be available for the general public at the Bedford Library (2424 Forest Ridge Dr.), Old Bedford School (2400 School Lane), City Hall buildings, and in the grass lot across from Bedford City Hall, Building C (1805 L. Don Dodson Dr.).
  7. Is there a shuttle to the event? No. There is not a shuttle.
  8. Is there a spot for ride share app drivers to drop-off or pick-up? Yes! We suggest having your Uber, Lyft, or other ride share app driver drop you off and pick you up at 1725 Bedford Rd. (directly in front of the Bedford Library and Old Bedford School) to avoid road closures and pedestrians. Look for Ride Share App signage.
  9. Are their ATM's onsite? There will be no ATM's onsite, but most food and marketplace vendors will take card or cash apps. The City of Bedford merchandise booth will be cashless.
  10. Where can I go to watch the fireworks? Since the fireworks are being shot 200-feet higher this year, you'll have a better chance of being able to see them from your own backyard. If you wish to park somewhere to have a better view, City facility parking lots will be open and free of charge. This includes City Hall (2000 Forest Ridge Dr.), the Library (2424 Forest Ridge Dr.), Old Bedford School (2400 School Lane), etc. Please note, Bedford 4thFest will be taking place at Generations Park at Boys Ranch, and all of these locations above will be used for parking. If you choose to park in a business' parking lot, please be mindful they may charge for parking or reserve their parking for their customers. Please be mindful of no parking signs throughout the neighborhoods surrounding Generations Park at Boys Ranch. Towing will be enforced to ensure public safety vehicles have the ability to drive through the neighborhoods.
  11. Where should I avoid? There will be no parking in certain neighborhoods, which will be marked by City signs. If the neighborhood has signs asking you to be respectful of the neighborhood, that means you may park but avoid parking near fire hydrants and residents' driveways for public safety purposes. Do not stop on major roadways or medians during the fireworks to watch the show. Doing so causes a traffic hazard and you could get hit and/or hurt.
  12. How long is the fireworks show? The fireworks display will last 23 minutes, as in year's past.
  13. Will the show be coordinated to music? Yes, there will be music playing in the park during the show.
  14. Will the show be livestreamed on social media? Since the fireworks will be higher in the sky and more people will be able to see them, we will not be livestreaming the show.
  15. When are the no parking signs being set-up? Can I move the signs? The event signs will be put neighborhood on Wednesday, June 30 and Thursday, July 1 by City staff. The signs are set-up on the hydrant side of the roadway for public safety reasons. Please do not relocate them to driveways or the other side of the street.
  16. When will the signs be removed and the litter picked-up? All signs and litter will be removed on Wednesday, July 5. If the signs on your street have not been removed by July 7, please let staff know.
  17. Is there a rain out plan? If the weather warrants cancellation of Bedford 4thFest, the fireworks show would be rescheduled for Wednesday, July 5. All other activities and entertainment would not be rescheduled.
