Tarrant County Public Health recently found one positive result for West Nile Virus in the most recent mosquito pools tested in Bedford.This was a static trap located in the Circle Lane and Schumac Lane area. The Storm Water Crew treated the positive trap site at 7:30 a.m. on August 10, 2020.Please take the necessary precautions to protect yourself from mosquito bites to reduce potential infection. This includes using an insect repellent containing an EPA-registered active ingredient. Check your home for possible mosquito breeding sites such as standing water in flower pots. Mosquitoes are most active during dusk and dawn so take extra precaution during those times.
