[ARCHIVED] Community Service Clean-Up Program

Community Service Clean-Up Program

The City of Bedford Municipal Court Department, with support from the Neighborhood Services Department, recently began a “clean-up” program that provides community service labor opportunities for Bedford Municipal Court defendants that, due to their lack of financial resources, need an alternative way to pay off their fines. During the program kick-off, the community service hours work included power washing the exterior of City Hall and lawn services to several homes in Bedford. The matching of labor hours and labor needs will be an on-going effort and residents, Neighborhood Associations, and various City Departments are being encouraged to contact the Bedford Neighborhood Services Department to request labor hours for “clean-up” projects. The “clean-up” projects will take place at various City facilities and potential property owners who need assistance. For more information on the program and/or to apply please contact Neighborhood Services at 817- 952-2640.
