[ARCHIVED] Free Drug Take-Back Program

Single Use Disposal System Ad 1

The Bedford Fire Department has partnered with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services to provide a free and easy way to dispose of medication responsibly. Single Use Disposal Systems (SUDS) are a convenient and environmentally friendly way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications. This pre-paid Takeaway Envelope allows residents to mail unused and expired prescriptions from the privacy of their homes. After the SUDS is mailed, the envelopes are incinerated unopened, keeping them out of local waterways.

A Single Use Disposal System box has been placed in the main entrance of Fire Station 1 (1816 Bedford Rd, Bedford, TX 76021). Visit Fire Station 1 to pick up a Take-Away Envelope. Place unused or expired medications in the envelope and mail the envelope away for safe destruction.
