UPDATE 2/22/2021: Lane closures on Forest Ridge Drive will begin on February 23. The tie-in on Bedfordshire will begin the week of March 1.
Beginning the week of Monday, February 15, there will be various lane closures at the intersection of Forest Ridge Drive and Harwood Road for the next three weeks, weather permitting. If possible, drivers should take an alternative route to avoid delays. The purpose of the lane closures is to allow crews to upgrade the waterline across the intersection, as part of the Harwood Road Waterline Replacement project. The larger waterline will improve service to the neighboring subdivisions and Generations Park, as well as increasing nearby fire hydrant pressure. When the waterline project is complete, the City will be able to repave Hardwood Road, from Bedfordshire to the western Bedford border.
