Earlier this month, Residence Inn by Marriott (2000 S.H. 121) opened its doors in Bedford and welcomed its first guests. Officially known as the Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas DFW Airport West/Bedford (phew!), the hotel is a four-story, 96-room, all-suite hotel totaling 85,000 square-feet. Guests may choose to reserve a studio room, a one-bedroom suite (similar to the studio, but with a separate bedroom area), or a two-bedroom suite.
Residence Inn by Marriott also has a meeting room and a beautiful open lounge area on the first floor where guests can enjoy their breakfast, hang out, do work, etc. There is also a small commissary (selling snacks, Tylenol, sodas), exercise room, indoor pool, outdoor patio (with grill and fire pit), and an outdoor multi-purpose sports court (combo basketball, pickle ball, soccer).
Because the hotel is designed for more extended stays, the hotel also offers washer and dryers for the guests use, no quarters required these days because the machines now take credit cards. It is also a pet-friendly hotel, welcoming dogs, cats, birds, and fish (we asked!).
