The City’s annual Chunk Your Junk Event is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 17 at the Meadow Park Athletic Complex, 3200 Meadow Park Dr. There, residents can dispose of items such as unwanted furniture, mattresses, and other bulks items from a house, garage, or yard.
DFW Reclaimers will also be on-site to accept e-waste such as computers, televisions, appliances, cables, cameras, batteries, fax machines, routers, A/V equipment, and more. For more information about acceptable e-waste, visit https://www.dfwreclaimers.com/.
Please note, Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) will NOT be accepted at this event. Construction debris will also not be accepted unless it’s residential household construction. Old tires will also not be accepted. To find a place that accepts old tires, visit http://www.timetorecycle.com/. Proof of residency required in the form of a recent water bill or driver’s license.
During this time, the Bedford Bark Park will be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. to accommodate the traffic and set-up space needed to coordinate Chunk Your Junk.
