Just a reminder, residents may experience an increase in door-to-door solicitation as the weather warms up. If you encounter a solicitor at your front door, they must be wearing a City of Bedford-issued solicitor traffic safety vest and a visible solicitor permit.
Solicitor permits are processed and issued by Bedford Police Department Public Service Officers. All solicitors undergo a criminal background check before their permit is approved.
If you suspect that the person at your door is soliciting without a permit or is in violation of the Do-Not Solicit List, please call the Bedford Police Department at 817-952-2127.
