As of November 8, the City’s "Better It Bedford" app will no longer be functional. This change is in preparation for the implementation of the City’s new OpenGov system in the coming months.
City staff chose the OpenGov system due to its more user-friendly complaint submission process and the ability for users to track the progress of their request. OpenGov will also offer more transparency by allowing citizens to communicate directly with the staff assigned to their case and receive real-time updates. The new system will be ready to launch soon and, once ready, will be promoted on the City’s communication channels, such as “The Connection” newsletter, the back of residents’ utility bill, as well as on the City’s website and social media channels.
In between the “Better It Bedford” app and the new OpenGov system, the City has created an online submission form at www.bedfordtx.gov/code for the public to file any code enforcement-related complaints/reports. Once a submission is made, the submitter will receive a confirmation email indicating the request was received and will be addressed.
While the City is using this online form submittal process, please note system-generated updates will not be able to be provided.
