UPDATE (November 30): Because of the generous outpour of support by the Bedford community, ALL of our Santa Cops wishes have been fulfilled! Our Santa Cops program would not happen without the people and businesses of this great community! Thank you for helping make an impact and uplifting families during this season.

ORIGINAL POST: Santa Cops is back! To spread holiday cheer, the Bedford Police Department and Bedford Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association are partnering with Christmas Providers, a non-profit organization, to help fulfill Christmas wishes for Bedford families affected by unfortunate circumstances. Through Santa Cops, new, unopened gifts will be delivered to children that might have otherwise not received presents for Christmas.

Beginning Monday, November 15, you can stop by the Bedford Police Department (2121 L. Don Dodson Dr.) or City Hall, Building A (2000 Forest Ridge Dr.) and select a Wish Tag from the Santa Cops Wish Tree located in each building’s lobby. Then, purchase the gift(s) from the list and bring it unwrapped to the Police Department by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15.

If you do not want to purchase a gift but would like to donate, monetary donations will be accepted at the Police Department front lobby through December 15. Cash and check donations will be used to purchase a holiday meal and any unpurchased gifts. For additional information on Santa Cops, please visit www.bedfordtx.gov/santacops.
