Updated: Thursday, February 24, 6 p.m.
We hope you’re staying warm tonight, Bedford. Here are the latest updates impacting trash collections and City services for Thursday and Friday:
Due to the weather forecast, Republic Services has canceled trash and recycling collections for Thursday, February 24.
Collections for Thursday’s customers will now occur on Friday, February 25, and Friday’s customers will be serviced on Saturday, February 26. If there are any additional changes to this schedule, we’ll be sure to communicate them on the City’s website and social media channels.
City offices will remain closed Thursday, February 24. This includes City Hall, Municipal Court, Old Bedford School (senior programming), Bedford Public Library, and the Animal Shelter. All emergency personnel will remain on duty. Offices will reopen, with normal hours, on Friday.
Public Works crews will continue to brine major roadways and thoroughfares, as weather conditions allow. We know you’re all experts in this by now, but please stay home and off the roads, if possible. In addition, make sure you’re following the U.S. National Weather Service or local news stations for the latest weather information.
Early voting at the Bedford Public Library will be closed Thursday. Some voting sites around Tarrant County will have a delayed opening. Visit the Tarrant County website for a full list of these sites and updates.
