We’re impressed, Bedford! Thank you to the 171 residents who properly disposed of household hazardous waste during Crud Cruiser on Saturday, March 19. Here’s a rundown of what we kept out of the landfills, with your help:

  • 8,500 lbs. of Paint
  • 650 lbs. of Solvents
  • 325 lbs. of Aerosol Cans
  • 250 lbs. of Flammable Items
  • 150 lbs. of Motor Oil
  • 19 Oil Filters
  • 240 lbs. of Antifreeze
  • 10 Auto Batteries
  • 850 lbs. of Herbicide/Fertilizer
  • 275 lbs. of Cleaners
  • 320 lbs. of Corrosives
  • 225 lbs. of Cooking Oil
  • 350 Light Bulbs
  • 250 lbs. of Household Batteries
  • 32 Computers
  • 1200 lbs. of Electronic Waste and Scrap

Miss out on Saturday’s event? No worries – you can still dispose of household hazardous waste for free! With a voucher from the Water Billing Department (you must provide proof of residency), all items can be dropped off at the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center.
