Beer, Brats, and More is BACK!

Join us in the Library’s Pumpkin Patch (2424 Forest Ridge Dr.) on Saturday, October 22 beginning at 3 p.m. for the BPL Foundation’s annual outdoor party of live music, good food, and drinks. A variety of food trucks will be on-site selling everything from brats, barbecue, grilled cheese, local craft beer, wine, sweet treats, and much more. Live music will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Beer wristbands are $30 a person (includes six tabs) and can be purchased online (by October 20) or on the day of the event. Admission to Beer, Brats, and More is free.

Beer, Brats, and More FAQ

  1. Is there an entrance fee for Beer and Brats in the Pumpkin Patch? There is not a charge to attend the event.  
  2. Is this a rain or shine event? Yes. The event will be moved into the Library in case of rain. 
  3. Does it cost to park? No, there is free parking onsite at the Library and Old Bedford School. Parking includes overflow parking on the grass. Please no parking in the fire lane. 
  4. Will IDs be checked? Yes, individuals wanting to purchase beer will have to show a valid driver’s license or state issued ID. 
  5. Are there free beer or wine samples? There are not. 
  6. Will there be beer for sale? Individuals 21 years of age or older can buy beer. All beers are $5. You can buy a beer wristband with 6 tabs on them for $30. Each tab is worth $5. The wristband can only be used at the beer tent. 
  7. How many beers can I purchase at a time? Drink tickets/tabs may not be redeemed for more than two drinks to a single consumer at one time per TABC regulations. Seller reserves the right to refuse service. Drink tickets are not refundable if service is refused for any reason 
  8. Can I purchase a beer wristband ahead of time? Yes, you can purchase a beer wristband online. IDs will be checked before the wristband is issued. Seller reserves the right to refuse service. Drink tickets are not refundable if service is refused for any reason. 
  9. Where will I pick up my beer wristband? Beer wristbands will be sold in front of the Library. You must bring a valid driver’s license or state issued ID. 
  10. What time will you stop serving beer? Last call will be at 8:30 p.m.
  11. Are there non-alcoholic beverages? Water and sodas will be available for purchase from food vendors. 
  12. Will cash or credit cards be accepted? The Bedford Public Library Foundation and the Bedford Library Friends will accept both cash and credit cards. 
  13. Is the site wheelchair accessible? Yes, but the music and pumpkin patch are located on a grassy area. 
  14. Where is the Uber/Lyft drop-off? The Uber/Lyft drop-off is at 1721 Bedford Road. This location will allow your driver to safely drop you off and can be used for pick up, as well. 
  15. Can I bring my pet? Yes, but it must be leashed. 
  16. Where should I go if I lose my child? Please go to the stage. 
  17.  Are there ATMs onsite? No. There are several banks on Central with ATMs and the Valero gas station on Bedford Road and Forest Ridge Drive has an ATM. 
  18. Are lawn chairs and blankets allowed? Yes, but please be respectful of others. Chairs should be low to the ground and have backs at shoulder height. Keep in mind that unless otherwise noted, this is “festival viewing” with no reserved seating and patrons may be standing in front of you during a performance. We want everyone to enjoy the concerts and have a great time. Be respectful of people around you and please share your space, get to know your neighbors, and make room for others. Please leave tents at home. 
  19. Is smoking allowed? Smoking and vaping are not allowed. 
  20. What is the Pumpkin Patch? The Pumpkin Patch is a fundraiser and proceeds from the pumpkin sales go to support two great causes: The Bedford Library Friends and the Navajo and Zuni Nations.
