[ARCHIVED] Severe Weather Response

Bedford Dispatch Center with "Severe Weather Response" text

Police and Fire personnel are responding to all 9-1-1 calls right now, but due to the high call volume, first responders are prioritizing life-threatening calls. After responding to the critical calls, they will work through calls that relate to storm damage and other concerns. So far, there have been many calls concerning structural damage, downed power lines, and power outages.

Power Outages: Remember, if you lose power, please report it to Oncor at Oncor is reporting about 6,200 Bedford customers without power right now and is working to restore lines.

City Facilities: The Library has closed for the evening due to the severe weather and The Bedford Center YMCA is without power and has also closed for the evening.

Trees: Dispatchers have received a lot of calls about fallen trees. Please only report them if they are blocking a road or driveway at this time.
