[ARCHIVED] North Tarrant Express to Begin Overnight Frontage Road Closures

Heads up, drivers! Beginning Tuesday, June 20, North Tarrant Express crews will begin repairing and repaving the SH 183 westbound frontage road, from S. Industrial Blvd. to Bedford-Euless Rd.

During this project, various portions along the westbound frontage road will be closed OVERNIGHT - from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday-Thursdays and from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, with occasional Sunday night work in a later construction phase. 

Upcoming full SH 183 westbound frontage road closures include:

  • Tuesday, June 20 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day): Between Industrial Blvd. and Westpark Way
  • Wednesday, June 21 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day): Between Murphy Drive and Central Drive
  • Thursday, June 22 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day): Between Central Drive and Forest Ridge Drive
  • Thursday, June 22 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day): Between Bedford Road and Brown Trail
  • Sunday, June 25 (8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day): northbound frontage road closure at Murphy Drive

Detours and messaging signs will be in place for those traveling westbound on the frontage road, during overnight operations. As additional closures are communicated to the City, they will be shared on social media and the City’s website. NTE crews tentatively anticipate completing this work by September, weather permitting.
