Exterior View of Bedford Animal Shelter

Animal Services staff is in immediate need of donations to help with the large influx of cats taken in from a private residence this week. The shelter is seeking donations of the following items:

  • Disposable litter boxes
  • Purina Kitten Chow – “Nurture”
  • Purina Cat Chow – “Complete”

Please drop off donations directly to the shelter, located at 1809 Reliance Parkway. Staff will be available to receive the donated items until 5 p.m. today, July 11 and throughout the week. If items need to be dropped off outside normal business hours, or the shelter’s front door is locked, please leave the donations at the door.

Due to potential criminal charges, details of the incident cannot be released. At this time, the City does not need additional volunteers to help with the situation.

As a reminder, staff is not able to process animal adoptions or surrenders until the shelter reopens.

To reach Animal Services staff for any urgent animal-related issue, please call 817-952-2191 during normal business hours or 817-952-2127 (Police Department Dispatch) outside of normal business hours.
