When we say we have the best community, we really mean it. Earlier this week, staff asked for food donations to help the Animal Shelter with the influx of cats taken in from a private residence. In hours, you guys were dropping off food, supplies, and ordering items through Amazon for the shelter – and we couldn’t be more grateful. Because of your generosity this week, the shelter is completely stocked with food for these animals.
While the shelter does NOT need anymore food donations, there are other items that will help out staff and animals including:
- Non-clumping cat litter
- Towels and Washcloths
- Newspapers
- Bleach
- Dawn Soap - Regular
- KennelSol
- Laundry Soap
- Puppy Pads
- Dog Bones and Treats
Please drop off donations directly to the shelter, located at 1809 Reliance Parkway. Staff will be available to receive the donated items until 5 p.m. throughout the week. If items need to be dropped off outside normal business hours, or the shelter’s front door is locked, please leave the donations at the door.
Due to potential criminal charges, details of the incident cannot be released. At this time, the City does not need additional volunteers to help with the situation.
To reach Animal Services staff for any urgent animal-related issue, please call 817-952-2191 during normal business hours or 817-952-2127 (Police Department Dispatch) outside of normal business hours.
