Immersive art returns to Bedford! The City’s second immersive art experience, “Surreal Pop: An Immersive Experience of Momentous Art Movements," will be held August 17-19 at the former Airport Area YMCA building, located at 3524 Central Dr. The exhibit will celebrate key art movements throughout history with various projections and murals that come to life. As you move through three indoor rooms, images of work from Impressionism, Pop Art, and Op Art (optical Illusion art) will surround and engage your senses. Outside of the rooms, more surprises await as you are invited to walk inside an empty pool, surrounded by images and sounds of the Surrealist movement.

The immersive art experience will be held at the following dates and times:

  • Thursday, August 17 - 7 to 10 p.m.
  • Friday, August 18 - 4 to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 19 - 2 to 10 p.m.

Tickets are $5 per person in advance and can be purchased online at https://bit.ly/bedfordimmersive. Tickets will be $8 at the door. Credit card will only be accepted. Ticket purchase includes entrance to both the immersive exhibit and art market. In addition to this unique experience, there will be food trucks on-site, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase, and an art market on Friday and Saturday.
