The City of Bedford was presented with a check in the amount of $10,000.00 on March 24, 2018, by John Barfield and the Barfield Family Private Foundation. This generous donation was provided in support of Bedford parks and will be used to improve the infrastructure of various City parks in the future. Mr. Barfield has been recognized throughout North Texas for his charitable contributions to local parks, including 2017 Advocate of the Year by the North Region of the Texas Recreation and Parks Society. Mr. Barfield’s gift to parks is greatly appreciated and will assist in the ongoing beautification of the City of Bedford.
