Over the next couple of weeks, you may see folks enter your property to work on your water meter. UMS employees (who can be identified wearing yellow reflector vests with “UMS” on the back and UMS-logoed vehicles) will be replacing some water meters throughout the City. The meters are being replaced because the displays are not working and the meter is not sending the water consumption data to Utility Billing.

Please note, the replacements should not cause any major disruptions to service. If there is a disruption, it would only be between 5-10 minutes to replace the meter. This work will take around 40 days to complete and crews will be in the area Monday through Friday, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
