On Thursday, November 9, crews will begin replacing sanity sewer lines on Savannah Way, between Schumac Lane and Natchez Avenue, in the Bell Manor subdivision. Contractors will place notices on doors along Savannah Way before construction begins.
In next several weeks, crews will also begin work on the following items that are a part of the same project as Savannah Way:
- Replacing water lines in the area northwest of Pipeline Road to Central Drive. This includes Memphis Drive, Winchester Way, Atlanta Drive, Lexington Place, Charleston Drive and Court, Gettysburg Place, Richmond Drive, Shell Court, and Trinity Court.
- Replace aging sewer and water infrastructure on Russell Lane/Ravenswood Drive
Please note, crews will notify residents on these affected streets via door hangers before work begins, as well.
Will I be able to access my street and driveway?
Yes! If crews shut down access to a road for an extended period, the contractor will provide a 48-hour notice to homeowners. The contractor will also notify residents before blocking any driveway to allow residents time to move vehicles. Most driveway shutdowns will be for short periods of time to allow crews to pass by with utility work.
All work with this project is estimated to be completed by fall 2024. For questions, please send an email to Public Works. More information will be posted, when available.
