  1. FREE Landfill Trash Dumping Days (Bedford Residents Only)

    October 26, 2019, 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM @ Republic Waste Services of TX, Ltd. dba Arlington Landfill

    Bedford residents may visit the Arlington Landfill on the fourth Saturday of every month from February to November to dispose of bulk waste at no charge. No charge service is limited to individual homeowner only, waste delivered in cars or pickups or 8’ long trailers, larger loads or commercial business loads will be charged a fee. Service does not include the disposal of Hazardous Waste. There will be a charge of $25 per E-Waste item (TV’s, Computers, printers, DVD players, etc.)

    Bedford Parks and Recreation is excited to celebrate this spooky season with the Bedford Boo-Bash Halloween Event! This fun-filled family event will include carnival games, crafts, inflatables and CANDY. Wear your favorite costume and join in the festivities, and don't forget to sign up for the costume contest. Entry for the event is a canned food or monetary donation that will benefit the 6Stones New Hope Center.     Check the Library's online event calendar for special Pumpkin Patch activities all month long! Proceeds from the pumpkin sales support two great causes: The Bedford Library Friends and the Navajo & Zuni Nations. Volunteers are needed on October 11 at 3:00 pm to unload the truck.

    Ribbon cutting ceremony for newly renovated Carousel Park on Saturday, October 26, at 9:00 a.m. The Carousel Park has been under renovation since 2018. The original play structure has been removed. In June the Parks and Recreation Board voted on the new Miracle play structure consisting of 3 slides, tot rock climber, calypso drum set, fun phone, and trap door climber. They saved the original swing set, refurbished it and added a handicap swing. The renovation of Carousel Park began and was completed in September 2019. The dedication of the new Carousel Park will be October 26, 2019, at 9:00 a.m.
