Roy Savage Pool at Central Park

The last day for daily open swim in 2023 will be Wednesday, August 9. After this date, the pool will open on Saturdays and Sunday’s ONLY for open swim (from noon to 5 p.m.) through Sunday, August 20. 

Roy Savage Pool is located at Central Park, 1201 Central Dr. During the summer, the pool offers a variety of weekly programs including senior and regular water aerobics, swim lessons, the Bedford SURF Swim Team, and more.

Hours and Admission

  • Open Swim is daily from 12 to 5 p.m. beginning May 27. The last day for daily open swim will be Wednesday, August 9. After this date, the pool will open on Saturdays and Sunday’s ONLY for open swim (from noon to 5 p.m.) through Sunday, August 20. 
  • General admission to the pool is $2 (children 2 and under are free) and cash or credit will be accepted. No refunds or rainchecks will be given.
  • If the pool reaches capacity, tickets will be sold on a one out/one in basis.

Pool Rentals

During the summer, Roy Savage Pool is available for private party, private pool, and cabana rentals. View additional information and make a reservation. 

Pool Reminders

  • Certified lifeguards will be on duty during all pool openings. 
  • Outside food and drink is permitted inside Roy Savage Pool. NO glass containers or alcohol is allowed.
  • Cabanas will be rented on a first come, first serve basis and can be paid for in advance or on-site, if available. Cabana seating is only guaranteed when rented. All other chairs or loungers are considered open seating and also on a first come, first served scenario. 
  • No pets are allowed. 
  • Children under 14 must be accompanied by adult.
  • Proper swim wear is required.
  • Roy Savage Pool can be rented out for private parties. View more information on rentals.
